Healthcare Workers

Always accepting new patients

A CDC study of 5,000+ survey respondents between June 24, 2020 and June 30, 2020 found that almost 31% of self-reported unpaid caregivers and 22% of essential workers had considered suicide in previous 30 days. Another 13.3% reported using alcohol and prescription or illicit drugs to manage stress related to the pandemic.

Mental health data have even shown physician, nurse practitioners, physician’s assistants, and nurses to have a higher suicide rate than many professions (including the military), and are more likely than the general population to die by suicide — more than 28 to 40 per 100,000. In other words, multiple healthcare professionals commit suicide nearly every day in the U.S.

It doesn’t have to be this way.

We offer 100% confidential services to healthcare workers both in-person and via telemedicine.

The stigma of mental health treatment means that most healthcare workers do not seek or receive confidential medical treatment, especially in hospital-based practices where they may be employed. Health systems and medical boards also discourage healthcare professionals from seeking or receiving medical treatment. Since North Branch Health is not part of a hospital system services are 100% confidential. Depression and anxiety manifest in unique ways in healthcare. Burnout, chronic fatigue, and insomnia are just a few ways mental health problems manifest.

We are always open to healthcare workers anywhere, either in person or via telemedicine.

Please don’t hesitate to call if you need help.
