Compassionate Mental Health Care

At North Branch Health, we understand that seeking help with mental health can be a big step. We are here to support you on your journey towards improved mental health and well-being, dedicated to providing compassionate, comprehensive, and individualized care. Integrative psychiatry involves looking at the whole person while integrating and coordinating medical and alternative treatments into your care.

Our Services

We offer a range of psychiatric services to meet the diverse needs of our community, including:

Medication Management: Evaluation and management of psychiatric medications to ensure optimal treatment outcomes.

Telepsychiatry: Remote sessions providing flexibility and accessibility for those unable to attend in-person appointments. Patients must be living in Vermont, we are not currently offering interstate services.

Our Approach

Our approach is rooted in evidence-based practices, combining the latest research with a deep understanding of the individual needs of each patient. We believe in a holistic approach, considering all aspects of your well-being, including physical health, emotional balance, and social environment.

Taking the first step can be the hardest. We strive to make it as simple as possible:

  • Initial Consultation: Your first visit will involve a comprehensive assessment to understand your unique needs and treatment goals.

  • Personalized Treatment Plan: We’ll work with you to create a customized treatment plan that addresses your specific concerns and objectives.

  • Ongoing Support: Regular follow-up appointments and continuous care to adjust treatment as needed and support your mental health journey.

Pricing

We offer both insurance-based and self-pay models for care. In order to care for you better we only work with a small number of insurance companies. If you have a high deductible (ie. catastrophic) insurance plan or have insurance that we do not work with it may make sense to look at alternatives. We can help you to understand what may be a good option for you. If you wish to submit for reimbursement to a plan we do not participate in we can provide you with what is known as a “superbill”.

Prior to meeting formally we will have a brief consultation to ensure that we are a good fit for your needs. Direct Primary Care membership does not include these psychiatric services, but members will receive a significant discount. Due to the very different nature of psychiatric care there is a small monthly charge (this includes private pay as well as insurance except for Medicaid) which allows us to have fewer patients, improving accessibility.

Initial Consultation: $400. This extended visit includes a formal intake, where we will review your overall health, mental health history, and preferences for care. We will work together to come up with a plan to help you reach your goals.

Followup Visit: $250. This periodic visit is generally 45-60 minutes long, and includes medication adjustments as well as plan reformulation to help you reach your goals.

Why North Branch?

Accessibility. We keep the practice small so you never have to wait weeks or months for an appointment.

Availability. We do not do 15 minute appointments. Our aim is to provide high quality care, and the standard medical model of extremely brief appointments does not help patients or providers.

Holistic care. With both Family Medicine and Psychiatry in the same location we can provide holistic and multidisciplinary care, looking at the whole self to help you solve complex problems.
